The difference between online blackjack vs casino blackjack

A recent study found out some interesting details about online gambling vs real world casino gambling.

First, they found that people who gamble online think they are more in control of their gambling than people who gamble in casinos.

Second, online gamblers like the privacy they get when gambling from their computers at home, as opposed to the excitement that on-site gamblers get from crowded casinos, such as the ones in Las Vegas.

Third, the online gamblers tend to gamble longer than casino gamblers, probably making up for the lack of excitement found at home, when compared to casinos, by taking more time in their gambling experiences.

In addition, online gamblers were found to be more aggressive in their gambling behaviors than casino gamblers.

I personally think it is much easier to mask your weakness, and keep your so called poker face on when you are sitting in front of your computer than it is when you are sitting in front of your casino dealers.

I believe this is also true of online and offline work situations it is much easier to sit in front of your computer and deflect your boss than go into the office and deflect your boss´questions.

I guess its possible as an online gambler you may find more success utilizing your strategies if you stick to them and keep at it then if you would had you stepped inside a casino.

What you can learn from the movie 21

I just read an amazing article on ‘back end’ of the movie 21. Card counting MIT geniuses organized by a brilliant master. This is how you win at blackjack by staying organized, staying cool and driving toward your goal of walking away with the most money and remaining the coolest.

If we can do this we can rake in the house. The key thing is getting organized, retaining data, and sticking with your strategy. If we get away from our strategy we will all lose to the house.

This is the same in the real world as well. I firmly believe getting and staying organized is the key in winning in the real world and at the blackjack table.

Which Blackjack Games Are For You?

I found a great tutorial on which blackjack games are the ones to actually play in the casinos. I actually jumped in and learned a bunch doing this research.

At any casino you walk into, the blackjack games will look about the same. But when it comes down to the nuts and bolts, each casino has its own little personalized set of sub-rules. How many decks do they use? Can you double down after splits? Does the dealer stand or hit on soft 17? Can you re-split a pair of Aces if you catch a third Ace? Do they allow Surrender?

It’s generally said that the house has a ½% advantage over a perfect basic strategy player at blackjack, but this is just a rule of thumb. Actually, it can vary from about 0.20% to 0.75% for standard blackjack games, depending upon the exact rules in force.

If you’re a bad player, it won’t matter that much which game you play because you’ll be giving away a couple full extra percentage points to the house on top of their basic ½% advantage anyway. But if you know your correct basic plays, your actual net disadvantage can cut up to half of that away if you stick to the good games. For a $25 bettor who plays once a week for three hours per session, that’s likely to make a $1000 difference at the end of the year. Let’s review the blackjack games you might run into at your local casino.

How to Blow 5 Million on Blackjack in one night

Not sure this was even humanly possible. But it appears one really rich dude in England managed to blow 5 million in one night at the blackjack table.

All I have to say is I can think of other ways to blow 5 million in one night and none of them involve a blackjack table. Although I am a huge blackjack fan I would take that 5 million and turn it into something better than wasted cash at the blackjack table.
