Blackjack Robin Hood looks to save a family from debt

Robin Hood 702 is offering 1 lucky family a chance to become debt-free by donating his blackjack winnings taken while gambling in a Las Vegas casino. What does that mean exactly? Well, a blackjack expert, who has chosen to remain anonymous (for obvious reasons), is so confident in his blackjack skills, he is willing to donate his winnings to one lucky family needing help desperately.

As you know, the Robin Hood character is famous in English foke-lore as a man who steals from the rich, in order to give to the poor. Robin Hood 702 will be doing just that, stealing from a Las Vegas casino via blackjack card-counting schemes, then giving the money to the poor and needy. The “702″ portion of the nickname is the area-code of Las Vegas.

To enter the contest, you must submit a video of your family explaining why you deserve to be the lucky group. The video must be submitted through his website, called Robin Hood 702. Only families who are facing extreme hardship, through debt or some other type of financial disaster will be considered.

According to his website, “This could be your family’s big break”, explaining how he will donate his blackjack winnings to you. The man, who is calling himself “Robinhood 702″, is a self-proclaimed blackjack expert.

For more information, please visit his website. Since the original report by the Fox News Channel, Robin Hood 702 has already received thousands of entries. He will be picking his winner in the coming days.

Bad Blackjack Games

The Daily Herald offers some tips on what to look for in a bad blackjack game. I personally jump in regardless of whether one person thinks its good or bad. I always rely on my gut feeling rather than anything else.

The first and most common factor these days is what does the dealer do on soft 17? She might have to hit, or she might have to stand. If she stands, that’s better for the player by a considerable, but not an enormous, amount. You can still play in “hit-soft-17″ games if you’re a solid player and other factors are good. But it would be worth playing at 30-40% higher stakes to get into a “stand-soft-17″ game, if one’s available where you’re playing.

By far, the most damaging rule you need to get away from is the “6-to-5 blackjack payoff.” This was the clever brainchild of some casino sharpies who figured they’d bring back single-deck blackjack to attract the players. So what’s the big deal if a $15 blackjack pays only $18 instead of $22.50? It’s still single deck. It’s gotta’ be a great game - right? Wrong! Most regular players have no idea how much this cripples their chances to win at the game. Let me spell it out for you.

Max had been to a seminar I’d given years ago, and decided to renew old acquaintances recently via telephone.
